What is Secureport?

Secureport is an advanced ddos filtering system that can effectively mitigate and filter all attacks such as udp/icmp bandwidth floods, syn attacks, GET/CC attacks and much more.

Is it expensive?

Although secureport pricing seems expensive to some it is actually very cheap compared to other filtering services such as prolexic or gigenet. It is also much cheaper then doing yourself. or having a custom setup made at a network.

To explain in a nutshell imagine having to buy just a 100 mbit dedicated connection. it will cost you around $1500-2500 most places, a gbit connection is about 10 times more. To purchase, setup and pay to manage a router or ddos firewall will cost up to $20,000 or more. So to setup your own similar protection you are seriously looking at around $50,000 per month. Feel free to have some networks quote you on this.

When you have a Secureport package it is like you have your own dedicated port for that much bandwidth including a highly advanced ddos filtering system managed by seasoned professionals. For example if you buy a 1gbit secureport plan the network will filter up to 1 gbit of bad traffic for you while letting the good traffic pass. During this time the network absorbs all bandwidth costs which in some cases is even more then what you are paying. They are not able to do this always, all ddos protection is like insurance. if everyone was to need it at once and all the time the network would lose big and absorbs tons of bandwidth costs.

The average ddos victim gets on Secureport or our other protected packages and gets attacked for about 1-2 days. After that the attacker realizes his attacks have no effect and he moves on. Occasionally that client will receive a few probing attacks from the same attacker or someone else to test the defense, when they see their attacks have no effect they move on again. Very rarely is someone attacked for extended periods of time if the attacks are being blocked.

So that pretty much explains it, Secureport is not expensive considering the amount of bandwidth, processing power and labor involved. It is well worth the money and you will not find advanced protection this effective and affordable.
